Man of Gold

"The Man of Gold" is a biopic that explores part of Mariel Mariscot life, a former Rio de Janeiro police officer during the 1960s and 1970s. Mariscot has became famous for being a member of Scuderie Detetive Le Cocq, an unofficial organization formed by police officers during Brazil's military dictatorship that was the country most infamous Death Squad. The film portrays the outlaw cop's journey through the eyes of characters whose lives were impacted by their close relationship with him: actress Darlene Glória, police officer Tigrão, performer Rogéria, journalist José Gonçalves, his niece Soninha, among others.
